We are one of the largest producers of biofuels in the country.

Our eight agro-industrial units have capacity to mill 38 million tons of sugarcane.

CBIOS

What are they?

Decarbonization Credits (CBIOs) are certified by the Federal Government's RenovaBio program. They are securities issued by biofuel producers, traded on the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3), and purchased by distributors as a way to meet their individual targets set by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).

Climate Change

One CBIO is equivalent to one ton of carbon avoided in the atmosphere. Currently, in Brazil, it can be considered one of the main assets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

By producing ethanol and energy from sugarcane biomass, we contribute to the global climate agenda, as the use of our products as substitute for fossil fuels prevents greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.

The National Biofuels Policy (RenovaBio) was established in 2017 through Law No. 13,576 as part of the national energy policy, with the aim of mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in the production, commercialization, and use of biofuels.

It can be considered one of the most successful decarbonization platforms on a global scale and, since its creation, more than 100 million certificates have been issued, according to data from the Federal Government itself.
